Bad few weeks…

So last week I took the entire week off to try and catch up in my classes, I’m having a hard time, two online classes NEVER AGAIIN. Like 200 pages a week, PLUS my two other regular classes, which I fell even more behind in yesterday, keep reading you’ll see why.

Did I catch up? No not yet, so I took another week off, thank god I got a boss who is understanding, she even told me she know’s what I am going through, she tried to take 2 classes online herself once and couldn’t do it.

I don’t know how I’m gonna make it the rest of this semester… and to top it off 2 people who owe me a total combined of $123 haven’t paid me back yet, I got to learn to say NO when people ask me to borrow money.

So if all that wasn’t bad enough, Mon a bit after 5 I was slicing potatoes with this As Seen on TV chopping gadgets AND the finger guard kept slipping off so I said screw it. Well damn me, I sliced a little hole out of my middle finger. Damn thing wouldn’t stop bleeding for like 3-4 hours. I didn’t wanna go to the hospital or nothing so I just kept pressure on it. Finally stopped around 9. Still hurts if you touch it, wet it, move it wrong, or at all… so typing is a bit annoying without using my middle finger on my right hand.

Next time someone asks me to make something, I’m gonna tell them to make it themselves.

I’m close to a nervous breakdown, AND I been getting obscene text messages, stupid cell phone company Cricket doesn’t have a blocked call thing, and I don’t wanna chance my number.

*sigh*

Damn, and YAY

Ok so first the YAY. I got my Holga on Thursday morning! YAY! Ordered it Mon, got it by Thur, awesome shipping! I got mine at Freestyle Biz for about $32 shipped. Just the regular 120N. I opted to NOT get the flash. I can add a cheapo flash later if I want, but I read a lot of bad or maybe not just bad, but annoying things about the Holga’s with flash. The flash is odd. It does work, it fires BUT it fires TWICE! Annoying, so no thank you flash. I got my digital with flash if need be.

I’ll post an image of my Holga later, and whenever I get my film, as I did the mod to make it able to shoot 35mm because I haven’t gotten a 120 roll yet. Soon my friend, soon. I also found a scanner at work that I can use that scans negatives BUT takes like a year to save one image, its painstakingly ridiculous BUT possibly my only hope to get my images taken on a toy plastic camera that shoots film onto my computer to make them digital, why not just use my digital to start with? Because. That’s why.

Now onto the Damn. I didn’t go to work yesterday. I tried, seriously I did, but I got like 3hrs of sleep. I just couldn’t. My head felt like it was gonna go boom. I was up taking a test, and trying to catch up in 2 classes I am falling behind in fast. I got to catch up by Monday or it’s just gonna be harder. I plan to do some studying tomorrow, but I got to go shoot for my Wed. photo class assignment. Sometimes I wonder why I take on a full time student schedule every semester, *sigh*.

Blah Girls

This episode is not on the website for some reason, but I found in on YouTube. Go to the Blah Girls website for more videos. The ones on the website I think are better then this one, this one is more like a introduction episode. The end of the episode is the funniest I think.

Holga 120N

So I have been following stuff on the Holga for the last year or so, and finally decided to get one. I know, shouldn’t have spent the money on a camera when I have a Rebel XTi, BUT have you seen some of the images taken by a Holga? The biggest issue I think I’ll have is getting the film scanned. I want to shoot some sprocket photography, I saw some on filckr and just couldn’t wait to do that myself. If you don’t know what a Holga is go >HERE<. Also once your at that site, check out the 35mm section to see what sprocket photography is. Since Holga is a medium format camera it was made to shoot 120 film which is taller then 35mm. So when using 35mm with a Holga it takes the image on the ENTIRE film.
