Chapter 10 – What will I do now?
Meanwhile back in Hazzard…
“Bo,” Luke said walking out of the house onto the porch.
Jonathan without turning to look at him sighed, “you know Luke, I feel sort of strange being back here.”
“I reckon you might,” Luke said walking up next to him, both of them just starring over the farm.
“I missed it,” Jonathan announced, “I missed being here, with you, Daisy, Uncle Jesse…” Jonathan then became quiet.
“He was never mad at you, he knew how your ma was,” Luke assured him.
“I owed him more then what I ever gave him,” Jonathan looked at Luke.
“You gave him plenty cousin, you helped around the farm, you cared about us all, you gave us all plenty,” Luke responded.
“I wish I could have seen him once more,” Jonathan said.
“I know cousin, I know,” Luke said placing his hand on Jonathan’s shoulder. After a long pause Luke asked what everyone must have been thinking, “how do you think the boys are doing?”
“I don’t know, but I sure wish I had Clark’s speed to go find out,” Jonathan responded.
“Do you think it was wise doing what we did?” Luke asked as he walked off the porch onto the front yard, Jonathan following.
“Sending a group of boys, one of which that has super powers that don’t necessarily like one another off to the middle of nowhere,” Jonathan said, “sure.”
“Yeah Bo that made me feel secure,” Luke said sarcastically.
“So what are we doing today?” Jonathan asked.
“Nothing,” Luke answered.
“What do you mean nothing?” Jonathan said pausing in his steps.
“I figure we would go out around town, so you can see some old friends. Let them know Bo Duke is back in town,” Luke said smiling at Jonathan.
“I don’t know Luke…” Jonathan said his words trailing off.
“Come on Bo, you need to do something, you need to know its ok to have fun again. You need to laugh and smile without guilt,” Luke pleaded.
“It’s just… I’ll give it a try cousin, that’s the best I can do right now,” Jonathan wasn’t really in the mood to go see old friends, or to see people he once knew and laugh with them like he hadn’t lost his other half recently. He knew Luke was worried about him and he didn’t want to put more of a strain on him with the boys away. Everyone was thinking about the boys, everyone was stressed over the fact they sent them off to work things out.

Chapter 9 – On the Road
They were headed to a select location given to them by Enos who was the one who found the place. It was about a 2 day drive. They were leaving the state and heading to ???????
Enos said there was some good fishing, and a nice area to camp out. The boys were put into 2 groups. Luke* was to shuffle back and forth between staying with Jesse and John, and staying with Clark and Bo*. The majority of the time Luke* was to be with Jesse and John, but they wanted Clark and Bo* alone as much as possible. They knew it was a dangerous situation, but they had already tried everything else.
The boys were given 2 lists with what each of them was allowed to have.

(STORY NOTE: Since Bo Sr. (Jonathan), and Bo Jr. are in two different places, and Luke Sr. and Luke Jr. are in two different places, no * will be used next to either Jr.)
The boys managed to get on the highway about 8am. No one had breakfast because Luke Sr. had suggested they eat somewhere on the road after driving for a few hours. So around 11:30am hunger started to set in.
“Bo I’m hungry, cant we stop somewhere and eat?” John asked.
“Because you aint gonna eat in the car, and we haven’t covered enough ground to stop and eat,” Bo* informed.
“Since when do we have a time limit on when we have to get there?” John rebutted, but regretted it the very moment the words left his mouth.
“You know what, your right,” Bo* said slamming the brakes making a u-turn.
“Bo* what are you doing?” Luke* asked.
“Your all hungry aint you?” Bo asked.
“Yeah…” Jesse said.
“Saw a sign a bit back,” Bo said hitting brakes; making a u-turn and then headed full speed back the way they had came.
“Your going to fast Bo*” John said.
“There’s no cops around, don’t be such a chicken,” Bo told him.
“Bo the only sign I saw us pass was for a bar,” Luke* worriedly reminded him.
“And?” Bo asked.
“John, Jesse, and Clark can’t go into a bar,” Luke reminded.
“No they can’t, but I can,” Bo said, “and so can you if you want,” he added.
“Bo I think it’s a bad idea,” Jesse chimed in.
“Well I think it’s a good idea,” Bo said as they pulled into the establishment.
“Bo they got a porter-potty. That can’t be a good sign,” John informed.
“I aint eating anything from here Bo,” Jesse said as he looked out the window in disgust.
“We stopped to eat, if you don’t, that isn’t my problem,” Bo said as he jumped out the driver side window.
“I’ll see what they got and bring you guys something,” Luke said jumping out his side.
“Luke look at this place, we’re going deep into the woods, if we get sick…” Jesse looked at Clark, “never mind… whatever you get us no onions.”
“Clark?” Jesse said after Luke walked away, “you ok? You ain’t said anything since we left.”
“Nothing to say,” Clark replied.
“Yeah, I guess,” Jesse agreed.
“You guys really want something from here?” Clark asked.
“No, what I really want is McDonalds. Some medium… no wait I take that back, LARGE fries, and a couple of Big N’ Tasty’s. That’s what I want,” John said.
“Yeah sounds good,” Jesse sighed.
“My dad said I couldn’t use my abilities when we got there, well we aint there yet. We passed a McDonalds about 1hr and a half ago,” Clark remembered.
“No way…” John said in disbelief.
“Be back in a bit,” Clark smirked getting out of the car.
After 15 minutes Luke walked out with a box carrying hot dogs, and packs of ketchup and mustard. However when he reached the car he dropped the box on the floor.
“Where did you guys get those,” Luke said pointing to the Big N’ Tasty John was busy stuffing in his mouth.
“Clark went to McDonalds,” Jesse said grabbing some fries and passing them to Luke, “he brought you some too.”
“Get out of the car, Bo smell’s that and we’re gonna have problems, as to explaining HOW we got that,” Luke told them.
Bo knew a few things about Clark, but not everything. They still couldn’t tell Bo that Clark was… as John put it… an E.T.

Chapter 8 – You Want Us To Do What???
“You’ve lost your minds,” Bo* shouted at his uncle’s and aunt early in the morning. They decided the boys were to leave immediately, so they had woken then up about 6am.
“Bo* please be sensible, you can’t continue to hate your fa…” Daisy began to say.
“DO NOT CALL HIM MY FATHER!” Bo* said through gritted teeth.
“Like it or not he is, and no matter what your feelings are that will never change. You will go where we send you or you’ve driven the General for the last time,” Luke told him.
“I don’t care if you take the car, you’re not telling me what I will or will not do,” Bo* said slamming the front door on his way out.
Meanwhile Jonathan and Clark were sitting out by Hazzard swamp discussing the new game plan. Clark although more reasonable then Bo* was not taking the news well either.
“I can’t spend any more time near him dad, I’m sorry but I can’t,” Clark told him.
“Please Clark; I need you to do this for me. For your mother,” Jonathan said looking his son in the eyes.
“What has mom got to do with this,” Clark said becoming angry at the fact his father was using his mother to get him to agree.
“The night before Bo* and the boys showed up at the house your mother was so excited,” Jonathan recalled, “she thought finally you would have someone to share your secrets with…” Clark then shot him a look as he paused, “eventually of course.”
“I have friend’s dad, I don’t need a brother,” Clark informed him.
“I know you have your friends Clark, and they are good friends but they don’t know your secrets,” Jonathan reminded.
“Well I’ve been thinking about that dad, and I think I’m going to tell Chloe,” Clark announced.
“It’s a very important decision Clark, you can’t just on a whim decide to tell someone about you, the real you,” Jonathan said.
“I know dad, I know,” Clark said standing up.
“I’ll do this for you dad, but if things don’t change on this trip then I’m done,” Clark told his father as he turned to walk away stopping for a moment to add, “I’m going to go see mom first.”
“Tell her… I love her, and I’ll see her in my dreams,” Jonathan said tearing up.
Clark didn’t look at his dad, but he nodded acknowledging his request before speeding of to Smallville.
Back at the house the boys were packing for what they referred to as “Mission Impossible.”
“Do they have a shower where we are going? I’m not showering in a river or any damn lakes,” John informed as he stuffed his pillow into his duffle bag.
“I don’t think so,” Jesse replied, “they want us to go somewhere where we don’t have to worry about someone seeing Clark do something.”
“So because he’s E.T. we can’t shower like normal people?” John said trying to force the zipper on his duffle bag closed.
“John, a shower is the last thing we need to worry about,” Luke* piped in.
“You mean keeping Clark from frying Bo*?” John asked, then adding, “Or Bo* from stuffing those green rocks up his…”
“John,” Luke Sr.’s voice suddenly rang throughout the room.
“Dad,” John said quickly turning almost falling over his duffle bag that he had placed on the floor.
“You don’t need to add to the situation with remarks like that,” he reminded him, all of them.
“Why do you want us to go? Wouldn’t it be better if they went alone?” Jesse asked.
“We can’t trust them to go alone. When you get there set up camp some good yards away. Not close enough to interfere, but close enough in case you need to get there in a hurry.” Luke told the boys.
“What do we do if things get out of control?” Luke* asked his dad.
“They won’t,” Clark informed walking into the room.
“Clark,” Jesse said, “your dad said you went to see your mom?”
“Yeah, I’m ready to go now,” Clark said.
“Where’s Bo*?” Luke* said asking about his hot tempered cousin.
“Doing what Clark did,” the elder Luke informed his son.
After Bo* had stormed off he came back 30min later with a proposition. If he did in fact go along with this suicide mission as he put it, no matter what the results the General would be his. Luke knowing the car would end up being Bo’s* someday anyways being as Luke* wasn’t so attached to the General agreed that he would in fact sign over the General to him title and all.
“We’re set to go as soon as he gets back,” Jesse said.
“I’ll run there,” Clark informed them.
“No you won’t,” Jonathan said stepping into his old room.
“Why not?” Clark asked.
“Because Bo* knows your different but not how different. Besides the point is that you all do this together, so you’ll go with them in John and Jesse’s car.” Jonathan informed.
“So if we drive off a cliff we all go down,” Bo* said stepping into the house overhearing just the end of the conversation coming from the room.
“Great, one for all and all for one,” John muttered.
“I'm driving,” Bo* muttered grabbing the keys off of the table.
“Why can’t we just go to Hazzard Swamp?” Jesse asked hauling his duffle bag.
“Because it’s too close to home and they want us to have a... I don’t know what the hell they want us to have but they want us far,” John told him.
“We want you to appreciate each other,” Jonathan said.
“We do,” John said motioning to Luke*, and Jesse, “they don’t,” he said motioning to Bo* and Clark.
“Get in the car or run after it,” Bo* barked walking outside with his bag.
“Clark,” Jonathan said before Clark walked out, “you know I'm doing this for you right?”
“I know dad, I know, don’t worry,” Clark said before turning and heading to the car.
Since Bo* was driving, Clark wanted to sit behind the passenger side to be as far away from him as possible. John sat behind Bo's* seat, and Jesse sat between Clark and John, while Luke sat in front on the passenger side.
“Everyone in?” Bo* asked.
“Yeah just about, I need to...” and with that Bo hit the gas and floored right off.
“GET MY FOOT IN AND CLOSE THE DOOR!” John yelled as he almost fell out of the car.
“Then don’t start off the answer to a question if you’re in yet with Yeah,” Bo* said slamming the breaks so John could get in properly and close the door.
“Did you see that?” Jonathan asked Luke as they watched from the door.
“Yeah,” Luke replied.
“Think they'll be ok?” Daisy asked, “I'm trying not to be, but I am worried.”
“We all are, but we got to trust they won’t kill each other,” Enos chimed in.
“Bo* please be sensible, you can’t continue to hate your fa…” Daisy began to say.
“DO NOT CALL HIM MY FATHER!” Bo* said through gritted teeth.

Chapter 7 - Buddy Ro
Bo* landed on the windshield of John and Jesse’s car smashing it and rolling back onto the hood.
“Damn it Clark!” Jesse said as he jumped through the broken window while everyone else went around out the door.
Bo* for what seemed the hundredth time was hurt again, but this time it seemed like he was just knocked out from the impact, with some cuts over his face and arms.
“Boy’s get him to his room, take those clothes off him, get the glass off him and clean him up,” Luke said, now that Clark was back they were going to have to set some rules, and find some way to get Bo* through his anger.
Clark had walked off a way’s a bit, he didn’t want to be near anyone. He had a lot to think about, he did a lot he wasn’t proud of, except through Bo* through the window, that he was fine with, but he knew others wouldn’t be. Jonathan kept his eye on him while he and Luke spoke, but let Clark be, he knew Clark wouldn’t run off on him anymore. Jonathan knew that had he not acted the way he did Clark wouldn’t have taken off at all.
“Bo*, where did he take you?” Luke asked Jonathan.
“He’s hurting a lot Luke,” Jonathan replied, “I think once I get a bit stronger Clark and me are going back to Smallville.”
“You can stay as long as you want, you know that,” Luke told him.
“I know cousin, I know,” Jonathan said placing his hand on the back of Luke’s hand, “I want to thank you, for everything you did for me… I know I lost it, I just…”
“There’s no need to say anything, you’d have done the same for me,” Luke told him pausing for a second before telling Jonathan that something had to be done between Clark and Bo*.
“Clark can’t do what he just did again; he needs to get in control. One loose cannon is enough, and Clark wouldn’t even be a normal canon, he’d be an extra-strength canon, he could really hurt Bo*,” Luke told him.
“I’ll talk to him, I don’t know what to do about Bo* Luke, he hates me, and I think he’ll always hate me,” Jonathan sighed.
“I’d hate to say this Bo, but I’m starting to think so too,” Luke said unconsciously looking towards the house in the direction of Bo’s* room.
Later that day Enos and Daisy had gone over to talk with Luke and Jonathan about the situation they had. No one knew what to do with Bo*, and they were all getting frustrated over it.
“It’s been a long time buddy ro,” Enos said going over and giving Jonathan a huge massive hug, “it’s good to see you.”
Daisy walked up to him after Enos let go and had tears running down her face, “I’m so sorry,” she said hugging Jonathan, “if you need anything you just call me.”
Luke* decided to sleep at his dad’s and lay on one of the single beds while keeping an eye on Bo* who was sleeping on the other single bed.
Clark was spending the night over at Jesse’s, and John decided to stay over at Jesse’s as well. They all thought it best Clark and Bo* keep as far away from another as much as possible for the time being.
“We need to make them see that they aren’t as bad as each other thinks, Bo’s* isn’t bad, he’s just confused,” Daisy told Jonathan.
“I know that Daisy, I don’t blame him,” Jonathan replied.
“You all got any idea what to do?” Enos asked.
“None, we’re clean out of ideas,” Luke told him.
“Well, I got an idea,” Enos said, “it’s a risky one, but dang it, it’s not like we’ve come up with anything else.”
“What are you think?” Jonathan asked.
“Bo… young Bo…” Enos began.
“Hold on now, you calling me old?” Jonathan smiled.
“Well no, but you ain’t as fresh as you used to be buddy ro,” Enos laughed.
“Very funny, now get on with it, what’s your idea?” Jonathan asked.
“Bo*, as I was saying loves that car as much as you and Luke did, and back when, was there anything you wouldn’t do to keep the General?” Enos asked.
“No there wasn’t, we done did everything there was to keep the General,” Luke grinned.
“Well, Luke, aint the General in your name?” Enos asked.
“Yeah, why?” Luke asked.
“Well, you take the General away from the boy, make him go out and do something with Clark, and the boys, if he doesn’t, and doesn’t try his best to deal with wherever we send them, you take the car away from him permanently,” Enos said.
“You want us to send Bo* and Clark, and our boys out somewhere without us? They’ll kill each other,” Luke said.
“No, they won’t, Clark won’t let it get that bad,” Jonathan said.
“He threw Bo* through the window,” Luke reminded.
“Trust me, he won’t,” Jonathan assured, “I’d hate to do it to him, but I’m sure.”
“Alright then, where are we going to send them?” Luke asked.
“That my men is why I’m putting the pot on, we’re going to be up thinking all night about this, and about where they are going,” Daisy said getting up and heading to the kitchen.
What they were thinking of doing was crazy, it was insane, it was dangerous, but they had nothing else to go with. They were going to send them away, and hope they all come back as safe as they are now.

Chapter 6 – What Are You?
Bo* still on the ground looked on in shock at what just happened. How could Clark toss him like a rag doll 30 feet away? He then quickly stood up and brushed the dirt off his clothes subconsciously as he walked towards Jonathan and Clark.
“What the hell are you?” Bo* asked about 10 feet from them.
“Don’t ever touch him again,” Clark warned stepping forward, but then pulled back by Jonathan.
“Clark it’s ok, Bo* if you just calm down I’ll explain,” he said looking at Clark, “we’ll explain,” Jonathan took a step towards Bo*.
“No.” Bo* said, “Just stay the hell away…don’t get near me, just stay the hell away, you and your freak of a son,” Bo* put his hand up, “the rocks… they hurt him because he isn’t normal,” Bo* said starting to put together the pieces, “the cave, what is he? Do the others know he’s some freak?”
“I’m not a freak, you’re the freak, always trying to hurt others that seem to care about you though god knows why anyone would care about you, you’re crazy, unpredictable and that’s why no one told you about me” Clark told him.
“If I had known I would have made sure I brought the General back home with the trunk full of those rocks,” Bo* said walking away, “go back to Smallville where you belong, and out of Hazzard,” Bo* said walking off angry towards the car, “get your own damn ride out of here,” he added.
Bo* was angry, angry that his cousins, his uncle, everyone lied to him and kept this secret from him, this secret about Clark being some freak of nature…. and he was about to express his feelings.
Bo* sped straight to the farm ignoring every possible traffic sign from the cemetery to the farm. The car swerved left and right numerous times to avoid stray dogs, and even roaming cattle that seemed to have gotten too far from their grazing fields. Nothing was going to slow him down, and nothing did until he hit the brakes as he screeched up to the house. He was even more pissed off to find no one home.
Back at the cemetery Clark stood his face now looking away from his dad, he didn’t know what to say to him.
“Clark,” Jonathan called out, “look at me son.”
Clark sighed and turned around slowly, “Dad…”
“Don’t say anything Clark,” Jonathan walked up to him and grabbed him into a tight death grip hug as his eyes swelled up with tears, “I’m sorry Clark, I’m so sorry, I can’t excuse what I did, and I’ll never forgive myself for the way I acted that day, I didn’t… I was… I miss her so much,” Jonathan cried.
Clark was hugging his dad back as tight as Jonathan, “Me too dad, I didn’t want to miss her, that’s why I did it, I didn’t want to feel anything, I didn’t want to miss her,” Clark cried, “and now I do, and it hurts more than anything, I’ve never been hurt, I can’t feel pain, but I feel this and it’s like someone’s stabbing me in the heart, It’s like I can’t breathe.”
“I know son, I know,” Jonathan sobbed, “your mother was our life.”
Back at the house Bo* sitting on the couch when Luke* walked in, Bo* looked up with an ice cold stare on his face.
“Bo…” Luke* looked around for any sign that Jonathan was there.
“Where are the others,” Bo* asked.
“What did you do to your dad Bo*,” Luke* asked.
“Don’t call him my dad Luke*,” Bo* said standing up as the others walked in, “glad you can make it,” Bo* said walking around behind the couch.
“Bo*, where’s Jonathan,” Luke asked walking into the house.
“You’re just in time Uncle Luke,” Bo* said picking up a baseball bat from behind the couch.
“Put the bat down Bo*,” Jesse said, “don’t do something stupid.
“Don’t do nothing stupid?” Bo* snickered, “like this you mean?” Bo* said smashing the bat into a family portrait of him, the boys, and Luke, “how about this!” Bo* shouted slamming it into a picture of him and his uncle. Then he smashed a picture of Jesse, Daisy, and Enos, “how’s this?” he said slamming the bat into a picture of Luke and John.
“Bo* Aaron Duke put that bat down now!” Luke shouted slamming his fist down onto a low book shelf. Luke never used Bo’s full name, but he had enough, “I’m sorry for everything you think we put you through with Jonathan, and I’m sorry you feel like a victim, but it’s stop here, right now!” Luke shouted at him walking up to him and yanking the bat out of his hand, “where is Jonathan.”
“With his freak of a son,” Bo* said looking Luke in the eyes, “yeah I know, I know he’s a freak of nature, a freak who gets sick with those rocks, a freak that YOU ALL KNEW ABOUT! A FREAK YOU DIDN’T TELL ME ABOUT!” Bo* said pushing Luke back towards the wall where the bedrooms were.
At the sight of Bo* pushing Luke away John leaped over the couch where Bo* stood and went at him.
“Don’t!” Luke said gaining his balance and rushing to separate them, with Jesse and Luke* running towards them too.
John got in a punch to Bo’s* right cheek before Luke got in between them, and Jesse held John back while Luke* held Bo* back, or at least tried to.
“Let go of me!” Bo* said pulling away from Luke*, “how could you all lie to me, keep that from me, he tossed me 30 feet! He’s not right, he’s not human, and what the hell else can he do? WHAT ELSE HAVE YOU LIED TO ME ABOUT?!” Bo* yelled at them.
“That you’re a selfish bastard,” Clark said as he and Jonathan walked into the house.
“Get the hell out of here,” Bo* said walking towards Clark.
“Or what?” Clark asked.
“Clark don’t son, just leave him be,” Jonathan said.
“No, I’m sick and tired of his attitude,” Clark said looking Bo* in the eyes.
“And I’m sick of you and your father,” Bo* said throwing a punch at Clark’s face, but Clark ducked and then picked up Bo* on his way back up and tossed him out the front living room window, glass shattering and flying everywhere.

Chapter 5 – Who Do You Think You Are
Luke Sr., Jesse, and Luke split up to look for Bo* and Jonathan while leaving John behind to watch Clark. They needed to find them fast, for Jonathan’s sake, and for Clark’s. They didn’t know whether to leave the ring on Clark while holding the “green rock” near him enough to subdue him, or to take the ring off and put the “green rock” away. And it seemed the more time that passed the more the “green rock” was dominating.
Luke went to see if maybe Bo* for some reason took Jonathan to the hospital, he had done that before even if he hated Jonathan. Jesse went to his house to see if his mom knew anything, or if maybe they were there, while Luke* went to look for him around the more dangerous parts of Hazzard.
But of course they weren’t around either one of those places, or any of the spots Luke* was checking out. Because they were pulling up to a place no one figured they would go to. The Boar’s Nest. But not the Boar’s Nest Jonathan remembered. The new Boar’s Nest was rougher, and dealt with more passing truckers then before, as hard to believe as that is. But these truckers weren’t the regular mildly drunk truckers that once passed through; they were low, cheap, and dirty figuratively and literally speaking.
“Go inside,” Bo* said starring at the front of the Boar’s Nest. Jonathan did as Bo* instructed without saying anything to him. When he walked in he was overwhelmed with what he saw. The Boar’s Nest was always a home to Boss’s rotten affiliates, but now it looked like a place ex-convicts would call home.
“She worked here didn’t she,” Jonathan said in more of a statement then a question.
“She hated being supported by my grandparents,” Bo* began, “She didn’t want to take money that she didn’t earn. She wanted to do what she could to take care of me, of us, so she worked there every damn night. She’s put me to bed, kiss me goodnight, and come deal with shit for brain bastard’s like that… though I guess I shouldn’t use bastard right, being as I am one.”
“You’re not!” Jonathan raised his voice looking at Bo*, who still would not face him.
“This isn’t the Q&A of our trip, so shut up,” Bo* gripped the steering wheel as he pulled out of Boar’s Nest lot, and headed to the next stop in his educational field trip.
Meanwhile Luke was returning to the farm to see how John was doing dealing with Clark, and to see if maybe Jonathan was back. But what he found wasn’t what he expected. And certainly not what John had expected while ‘babysitting’ Clark. Clark had John up against the wall choking him.
“You thought you and your idiot brother, and pathetic cousin could drag me here and I wouldn’t get back at you,” Clark said slamming John a few times more.
“You’re not thinking right Clark,” John spat out, “and your dad need’s you.”
Clark then threw John into the wall, where he landed just outside the bathroom door.
Luke then jumped at Clark with the green K that was on the floor by the kitchen table. Clark felt the affect and turned to see Luke shoved the rock into Clark’s stomach with a hard right.
“I’m sorry Clark,” Luke said punching Clark again in the side, making a grab for the ring with his left hand and finally pulling it off, and tossing the green rock into his bedroom.
Clark’s attitude immediately changed. The Clark they knew was now back. He seemed a bit disorientated, and then realized and remembered what was going on. He got up off the floor and looked at John and Luke, “I’m sorry.”
“So am I,” Luke said going and closing his door.
“I…” Clark really didn’t know what to say, how to fix what had just gone on.
“Clark your dad really needs you,” Luke told him. Clark’s face filled with pain over thinking about his father, and in which the state he was in when he took off, and then thinking of why he took off, his mother was dead. With the ring on he knew she was dead, but it didn’t hurt him. It didn’t pang him. Now without it, he hurt as much as he did that day he took off, the day of the funeral. Clark still in all intense purposes hadn’t mourned for his mother yet as one would expect. But he still didn’t have time for that.
“Where is he?” Clark asked.
“Don’t you remember?” John asked rubbing his neck and throat.
“I remember you all going out, but I hurt too much from the kry… the green rock that I couldn’t focus on what was going on,” Clark explained.
“Bo’s* taken him somewhere,” John said.
“We’re looking for him, you just need to stay here, I’m sure that…” Luke didn’t get a chance to finish because Clark ran past them and out the door in the blink of an eye.
“Dad if Bo’s* done anything… the way Clark’s feeling, what’s happened… Clark’s gonna hurt him bad,” John told his father.
“I know son, I know,” Luke said sighing.
“Dad! John!” Luke* ran into the house, “Did I just see what I think I saw?” Luke* said looking around the house hoping to see Clark.
“Yes you did,” Luke told his son.
“John, how did Clark get free from the rock?” Luke asked his son.
“He said he needed to go to the bathroom,” I helped him up, and started to walk him to the bathroom, I forgot to grab the rock, and when I remembered he was far enough away from it to go crazy again.”
“You’re such a spaz John,” Luke* told him.
“Boy’s shut up, get out there both of you. We got to find them before Clark does,” Luke said heading towards the door.
Jonathan and Bo* were now pulled up to a place Jonathan feared the most at the moment, Hazzard Cemetery.
“You don’t have to do this son,” Jonathan told Bo*.
“Don’t call me that,” Bo said coldly.
“Get out, she’s by the last statue,” Bo* told him.
A Cemetery was the last place Jonathan wanted to be. It made him think of Martha. He was also afraid to see Sally Mae’s grave stone. It would be like facing her after so many years, facing her after abandoning her and Bo* even though he never knew. Bo* trailed behind him leaving some space between them.
Jonathan looked down at the stone that read:
Here Lies
Sally Mae Johnson
Beloved Mother & Daughter
“How could you Sally,” Jonathan found himself saying first. “I did love you; you knew that, you knew why I left. Why didn’t you say anything, I would have stayed, or at least taken you with me,” Jonathan spoke, which wasn’t quite what Bo had in mind as he came up behind Jonathan and pulled then pushed him away from his mother’s grave.
“WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!” Bo* shouted at him, “YOU’RE THE ONE WHO DID WRONG!” Bo* yelled at him, “WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO PROCLAIM THINGS AT HER GRAVE!” Bo then rammed Jonathan up against the statue by his mother’s grave and was about to punch him when suddenly he was thrown back through the air landing 30 feet from where he stood and where Clark now stood.

Chapter 4 - No One Asked Me
When the boys reached the road to the farm they saw in the distance Bo* taking off, not knowing Jonathan was in the car with him. They decided not to follow him, and pull into the farm, since they had Clark to deal with.
After they pulled in, Luke pulled in as well, in his truck.
“Dad,” Luke* got out of the car, “we found him.”
Luke slammed his truck door closed, and ran to the car, “why does he look sick?”
“The ring is still on him, so we’re holding the green rock near him,” Luke* explained to his dad.
“John hold the rock near him while Luke and me take him into the house,” Luke Sr. told him, “Jesse after you give the rock to John, start to push Clark out of the car, we’ll drag him out on this side, then close the door and take the car back to Cooter.”
After they got Clark inside they sat him on the chair that Bo had been sitting on earlier, and tied a chain around him. They placed the rock on the other side of the table, which still helped keep Clark under control and unable to break the chains.
“I’ll see if Jonathan is awake,” Luke said walking over to where he had left him sleeping earlier in the day.
“Boys!” Luke shouted. The boys all looked at each other and ran over to where Luke was.
‘What’s wro…” John stopped, “where is he?”
“Look outside, all around the house, check the barn, he…”
“He’s not here,” Luke* told his dad, “we saw Bo* driving off as we pulled up onto the road, “he followed us, and we had an argument, he was mad, very mad.”
Luke slammed his fist on the table, “Damn it!”
Meanwhile Jonathan was staying quiet as they went over roads that for the first time in over 20 years he was setting eyes on again. Hazzard hadn’t changed much, a few new stores, and a more modern look, but it was still the same old Hazzard. It had the same type of calm fun loving people and the same atmosphere, except with Bo*.
As Jonathan was going down memory lane, he was jerked away from his memories as Bo* made a sharp turn and slammed on the breaks.
“Get out,” Bo* instructed as he himself slid out the window. Jonathan looked around and knew immediately where they were. He knew the road was familiar, he just hadn’t quite remembered.
Bo* headed up the steps of an old abandoned run down house, with boarded up dusty covered windows. “Look familiar to you?” he asked.
“Your mother’s house,” Jonathan said softly as he tried the doorknob, but found it locked.
“County had it closed and boarded up due to the danger possibilities,” Bo* said pulling a key from his pocket, “but they never knew I had this key,” he put it into the keyhole, and opened it.
They stepped inside slowly, and what Jonathan saw shocked him.
“It’s… clean,” confused Jonathan looked around, “outside it looks…”
Bo* interrupted him, “Like shit. I came back around here when I was 15 once, decided to clean it up, just the inside. I didn’t want anyone to mess with it, if they saw it clean outside they might want to come in,” Bo* explained heading up the stairs; Jonathan followed.
“I haven’t been in here in such a long time,” Jonathan brushed the top banner of the staircase with his hand.
“Since the night before you left my mom,” Bo* said coldly.
“Son,” Jonathan sighed as they reached his mother’s old room, “I’ve told you I’m sorry, and I truly am, I don’t know how many times you’re going to need me to say it, but I will.”
“Don’t call me that,” Bo* looked him in the eyes, “I brought you here so you can see,” Bo* told him, “look at the place my mother spent days crying over you, because YOU left her!”
“I…”
“We shared this room, see the little bed over there,” Bo* pointed to a small wooden bed missing its mattress, that Jonathan knew immediately had been built by Jesse. “We were at the farm a lot, but we lived here, her and me, and my grandparents. They died a few years after she did, one of cancer and one of a heart attack,” Bo* sat down on his mother’s sheet-less dust covered bed, “then I went to live at the farm. The poor abandoned kid,” Bo* chuckled sarcastically.
“I know Jesse loved you, and I know Luke and Daisy, and everyone else…” Jonathan began.
“It’s not your turn to talk,” Bo* stood up and walked to his once bed, and then suddenly bent down picked up the small child bed and threw it across the room where it slammed into the opposite end of the room, “ I LOST EVERYTHING!” he yelled at Jonathan.
“Bo*… just calm…”
“HOW DO YOU THINK I FELT BEING RIPPED APART FROM MY HOME!” Bo* shouted, his throat tightening, veins showing, “NO ONE ASKED ME WHERE I WANTED TO LIVE! NO ONE CARED… if I didn’t want to leave the last link to my mother,” Bo* visibly upset, eyes starting to water just enough to notice, but he wouldn’t cry, not in front of Jonathan, “let’s go… field trip isn’t over,” Bo* said his hurt turning to hate again.
After they pulled in, Luke pulled in as well, in his truck.
“Dad,” Luke* got out of the car, “we found him.”
Luke slammed his truck door closed, and ran to the car, “why does he look sick?”

Chapter 3 – Don’t Tell Me
Bo* stormed over to where Luke* was standing, on the other side of the highway a few feet in from the road.
“Hey! What the hell is your problem?” Bo* said getting into Luke’s* face, “because I am getting sick and tired of this. You either trust me, or you don’t! I’m not some fucking baby for you to monitor what I do and say, and where I do and don’t go!”
“It’s not about whether I trust you or not Bo*!” Luke* finally shouted at him, “and I can’t explain to you, or tell you why we came to get Clark without you, other than the obvious, which is YOU – DO – NOT – LIKE – HIM!”
“John and Jesse, what the hell is that shit then! They NEVER once look to you before doing something I told them, now they both need your damn approval!” Bo* was getting more and more agitated.
“It’s because of Clark, you don’t think right when it comes to him or you… Jonathan,” Luke* sighed.
“Bullshit, enough of ‘this is about Clark’ shit, you want to treat me like some psycho, fine, I’ll act like one,” Bo* shoved Luke and headed back to the cars.
“Bo*, just wait,” Luke* went after him, picking up speed as he realized Bo* was running to the General.
“Get the fuck out of my way,” Bo* said shoving John who had started to get into the driver side, because he had seen Bo* heading to the General and decided maybe he should get in, just in case Bo* was doing what he thought, and he was.
“Go with your saint of a cousin, I’m out of here,” Bo* said putting the car in reverse and hitting the gas. Luke* trying to stop him got in front of the General.
“Bo* stop! You can’t take the car like this, you’re to pissed off, your gonna…” again Luke* stopped what he was about to say, and again it was too late. It was like pushing the nail in the coffin.
Bo* put the car in drive, and hit the gas, Luke* barley jumping out of the way. They watched the smoke clear from the tires, and watched Bo* drive off.
“That went well,” Jesse said.
“Get in, take that rock out of Clark’s shirt,” Luke* said getting into the driver side of the car they had borrowed from Cooter.
“I already did, just holding it near him,” Jesse replied, who was in the backseat with Clark.
John got into the passenger side and they took off.
When Bo* got to the Duke farm, he screeched in and jumped out the window. No one seemed to be there, he knew he’d beaten the others back since he drove double the speed limit most of the way back, but he thought his uncle would be there.
“Uncle Luke,” Bo* called out stepping into the kitchen.
“He’s… not here,” Jonathan said stepping out of the living room into the kitchen. He was shaved, dressed, and look like he had finally showered.
“He left you alone?” Bo* asked.
“I was sleeping, I guess he didn’t think I’d get up,” Jonathan replied.
“Why are you up?” Bo* asked, still standing on the side of the table, near the door, as far as Jonathan as possible.
“I don’t know really,” Jonathan replied, “but now that I am… can we talk?”
“About?”
“You, me, Clark.”
“Then no.”
“Just hear me out,” Jonathan sat down on the chair nearest the living room, Uncle Jesse’s chair.
“I haven’t thanked you for saving Clark,” Jonathan began, “and I haven’t told you that I’m sorry if I hurt your ma.”
“Don’t talk about my mom,” Bo* warned, “you got no right to even think of her,” he slammed his fist onto the table.
Jonathan put his hand up, giving Bo a stop motion, “just hear me out.”
Bo* reluctantly sat down… on the opposite end of where Jonathan was sitting.
“I cared about your mother, I loved her, if I hadn’t left I’d have married her,” Jonathan said, “but I did. I can’t say that I regret it, because I wouldn’t have met Martha, or adopted Clark, but I do regret that I let my mother’s fears control me, and keep me from coming back, to visit, to find out about you, to set things right with your ma.”
Bo* just stared at Jonathan with cold eyes.
“When I left, I thought your mom understood, I thought we parted on good terms, I thought it was mutual. I told her she could come with me, but she wouldn’t. I told her we could continue to be together, but she didn’t want that. She said it was best we broke it off then and there; I thought we both understood each other. I knew there would be hurt and pain from breaking up, but I didn’t know she really didn’t feel the same about breaking up,” Jonathan explained, “for her to not want anyone to tell me about you, I know I hurt her more than I ever knew, more then I could imagine.”
“Don’t tell me, tell her,” Bo* said getting up and heading to the door.
Jonathan sat there and watched Bo* about to leave, but then Bo turned back and looked at him.
“Come on,” Bo* told him.
Jonathan for a moment wasn’t sure about going, or what Bo* was up to, but he didn’t care. He got up and followed Bo* out the door.

Chapter 2 - Fed Up
Chapter 2
The boys waited in a parked car they borrowed from Cooter’s garage so that if it was Clark, he wouldn’t recognize them.
“What time did those kids say he comes out?” Luke asked Jesse, who had early in the day talked to some teenagers hanging outside the corner liquor store.
“About 9,” Jesse said holding up the bag of cheetos and letting the remainder of them fall into his mouth.
“You could have given me some,” John said.
John and Jesse were still not quite back to where they had been before their first trip to Smallville, but it was progressing.
“Shut up, the door is opening,” Luke* peered through the tinted windows. John and Jesse stopped wrestling in the back seat still locked in a hold and looked in the direction towards the door.
“It’s him,” Jesse said.
“We can’t even see his face, and how do you know it’s him,” John said realizing they were still locked, and let go of Jesse.
“That’s his sweater, I remember seeing it in his room once,” Jesse replied.
“Hey… who’s that?” John said pointing towards another guy standing on the side of the building, watching Clark as well.
“OH SHIT!” Luke* got out of the car as fast as he could, “get the rock and come on!”
“What is he doing? We’re supposed to sneak up on…”
“It’s Bo*,” Jesse said as if he was scared suddenly.
John looked and realized it was Bo Jr., and he was approaching Clark, whom he’d reach before Luke* would. They grabbed the rock as Luke* said and ran after him.
“Hey!” Bo* called to Clark as he came up from behind him.
Clark turned around and lifted his head, “what are you doing here,” Clark said more of an accusation then a question.
“Ask them,” Bo* said as Luke* walked up to them.
“Bo*,” Luke* said.
“Save it, I’m not the one you’re after,” Bo* looked at Clark.
“You’re wasting your time, get out of my face,” Clark pushed passed them.
“I’m sorry Clark,” Jesse said holding out the green K.
“You’re gonna be sorry,” Clark said lunging for Jesse, but John held up yet another piece.
Clark’s face fell from angry to full of pain. His veins seemed to pop out from the anguish he was in.
Luke* ran over to the car, and pulled into the motel where they grabbed Clark and stuffed him into the backseat of the borrowed car.
“What the hell are you guys doing to him, isn’t he allergic to that stuff,” Bo* asked.
“Yeah… but… we’ll explain later,” Jesse said.
“Yeah, you will,” Bo* said his tone changing from curiosity to anger.
“Jesse you hold the rocks, and sit in the back with him,” Luke* instructed, “John, go with Bo.”
“No,” Bo* said, “I’m going in the passenger side with you,” he looked at Luke*, “John if you scratch The General you’re gonna pay to repaint him,” he said tossing the keys to John.
Luke* looked at John and nodded with approval.
“What the hell are you looking at him for? GO!” Bo* said shoving John away.
“You and me are gonna have us a long talk,” Bo* opened the back driver side door, “give me those damn rocks, and get out, you’re going with John.”
Jesse did what John had done, and looked at Luke, but Bo* caught it and became angry.
“I said get the fuck out!” Bo* grabbed Jesse by his shirt and pulled him out of the car, “don’t you ever do that again,” he warned Jesse grabbing the rocks from him and getting into the back of the car.
Clark watched in agony as this all was going on, cursing them in his head, and scared that they might actually do what they had come to, which was take him back to his dad.
Bo* waited until they were on the highway; they weren’t more than 6 hours away from Hazzard. They would get there around 4am or so depending on if they stopped to get something to eat… to go of course. They had been gone from Hazzard for 2 days. They left July 10th around 11pm when they thought Bo* would be with Amanda, and arrived at the motel the 11th around 6am. They decided to get some sleep before going out to watch Clark. It was now the about 9:45pm still the 11th.
“Why are you undermining what I tell John and Jesse, are you going to decide what I can and can’t tell them?” Bo* said looking at Luke* through the rear view mirror.
“It’s not like that Bo*,” Luke* said.
“We’ve never, NEVER gone on a trip when it wasn’t the four of us, so imagine my surprise AND anger when me and Amanda pull up just enough and in time to see you tossing bags into the trunk,” Bo* was furious, “explain that to me.”
“You don’t like Clark; we didn’t want to upset…”
“AND TAKING OFF WITHOUT TELLING ME A DAMN THING WASN’T GOING TO UPSET ME!” Bo* shouted at him.
“I don’t want to argue with you Bo*, I need to watch the road, I don’t want to…” Luke* caught himself before he said something, but it was too late.
“Crash, like I did, is that it, everything is still about that,” Bo* shook his head, “if we need to talk about that again, just tell me, I can’t take it back, and I can’t keep on telling you that I’m…”
“I didn’t say that Bo*, and it isn’t about that, I can’t tell you what this is about right now, not until you come to some understanding with your dad…”
“DON’T!” Bo* stuck the rock he was holding towards Clark and put it into Clark’s shirt pocket, then made his way over the seat to the front, “don’t you ever call him that.”
Luke* suddenly pulled over to the side and hit the brakes, getting out and leaving Bo* in the car with Clark.
John and Jesse pulled in behind them, and went over to the car to see what was going on.
“What…” Jesse began.
“The rocks are in his shirt pocket, watch him,” Bo* said getting out of the car and going after Luke*.
Bo* was tired of what had been going on since they got back home, and tired of paying for his mistakes over and over, and tired of being kept out of the loop. He knew something was going on, and it was time he found out what it was.
The boys waited in a parked car they borrowed from Cooter’s garage so that if it was Clark, he wouldn’t recognize them.
“What time did those kids say he comes out?” Luke asked Jesse, who had early in the day talked to some teenagers hanging outside the corner liquor store.

Chapter 1 – You Think It’s Him?
A figure always walked around in the dark alleys behind the convenient store and the set of run down motels. A month or so ago the person just seemed to show up one day. Kids use to hang around the room they believed was his in the day, they would hear movement inside but no one ever came out…. Until night time that is. The person, always in the shadows, or wearing a hooded sweater would go out, spend a few hours out and about, then could be heard in the alley on his way back.
Meanwhile back In Hazzard…
It had been 1 month and a half since they got back to Hazzard, Jonathan still wasn’t talking to anyone, he just stayed in Luke’s room either asleep, or in a chair looking out a window. He didn’t eat much, so he had lost weight considerably… but not so much that he looked sick or anything.
“I took your cousin his lunch,” Luke* told his dad.
“Thank you… I got some work to do on the farm, you keep an eye on him,” Luke told his son.
“Dad… how long is he going to be like this?” Luke* asked his dad.
“I don’t know son, I don’t know,” Luke replied walking out of the house.
Luke Jr. had been keeping an eye on Jonathan everyday since they got back when his dad would go out to work. He had work himself to do, but waited until his dad came back in to do it. There hadn’t been much going on, not like it used to be with him and Bo Jr., and John, and Jesse always hanging out, racing, partying, or just driving around. Bo Jr. had been staying at Luke and John’s house; he didn’t want to be around Jonathan.
After they had gotten back they told Bo Jr. that Martha had died, and Clark had lost it and ran off. No one talked to Bo Jr. about what had happened in the cave, and Rodney and Lewis never went back to Hazzard so there was no reason to make Bo Jr. angry over trying to get him to discuss it.
It was around noon when John and Jesse ran into Luke’s house with some papers, and shoving them into Luke’s face.
“What is this?” Luke* asked.
“Well you know I’ve been looking for Clark, calling places, checking up on any weird things we hear on the news, and we got something,” Jesse told him.
“What?” Luke* asked.
“Read it,” John told him, so Luke* read it then looked up at his brother and his cousin.
“You think this is him?” Luke* asked.
“The time that he showed up there, fits the time Clark left, the description matches, everything is there,” Jesse answered.
“So what do you plan to do?” Luke* asked.
“We go out there, take some of that green rock we brought back with us… just in case you know, and use that against Clark to get him here,” Jesse said.
“That ring with the red rock turned him into a mean crazy person, how do you know that stuff will affect him while the ring is on him?” Luke* asked.
“I don’t know, but it’s worth a shot,” Jesse said.
“Are we going to do this or not?” John asked.
“We are… we’ll leave tonight, leave a note for my dad so he sees it in the morning, he wouldn’t want us to go if we told him, he wouldn’t understand,” Luke said.
“Understand what?” Luke asked walking in.
“Dad,” John said startled.
“We’re going to get Clark,” Jesse said.
“You know where he is?” Luke asked.
“We think we…” Jesse began.
“You think, you don’t know, you say you found Clark then you say you don’t know!” Jonathan shouted at them from the living room. It was the first time he had said anything in weeks. The first time he got up and walked.
“Bo,” big Luke said, “they’re young, they don’t know what they are doing,” he glanced at them.
“Clark won’t come here, not without Martha,” Jonathan stopped, “without Martha…” he was about to break down when Luke walked over to him and helped him stay up. He looked at the boys as he walked Jonathan back to the room, a few minutes later he came back to the kitchen.
“If that green rock doesn’t work you boys stay away from him and come home you hear me,” Luke told his boys and Jesse.
“Ok,” they said. Luke then went back to the room to try and get Jonathan to talk some more.
“Are we going to tell Bo?” John asked.
“We can’t,” Luke* said.
“We can’t leave without telling him something either,” John said.
“What do we tell him then?” Jesse asked Luke*.
“Nothing, we leave right now, and he wont know until morning that we left, grab some bags, and lets go,” Luke* said getting up and heading to get some things, “we’ll need to go to our house for some stuff, and to tell mom we’re going on a trip.”
“No we can’t, Bo* is there,” John said.
“No he isn’t, he went out tonight with Amanda,” Luke* said.
“She’s back with him?” Jesse asked.
“Yeah,” Luke* replied, “I don’t know what their problem is but they are always on and off,” Luke* added, “now let’s go.”
