“You’ve lost your minds,” Bo* shouted at his uncle’s and aunt early in the morning. They decided the boys were to leave immediately, so they had woken then up about 6am.
“Bo* please be sensible, you can’t continue to hate your fa…” Daisy began to say.
“DO NOT CALL HIM MY FATHER!” Bo* said through gritted teeth.
“Like it or not he is, and no matter what your feelings are that will never change. You will go where we send you or you’ve driven the General for the last time,” Luke told him.
“I don’t care if you take the car, you’re not telling me what I will or will not do,” Bo* said slamming the front door on his way out.
Meanwhile Jonathan and Clark were sitting out by Hazzard swamp discussing the new game plan. Clark although more reasonable then Bo* was not taking the news well either.
“I can’t spend any more time near him dad, I’m sorry but I can’t,” Clark told him.
“Please Clark; I need you to do this for me. For your mother,” Jonathan said looking his son in the eyes.
“What has mom got to do with this,” Clark said becoming angry at the fact his father was using his mother to get him to agree.
“The night before Bo* and the boys showed up at the house your mother was so excited,” Jonathan recalled, “she thought finally you would have someone to share your secrets with…” Clark then shot him a look as he paused, “eventually of course.”
“I have friend’s dad, I don’t need a brother,” Clark informed him.
“I know you have your friends Clark, and they are good friends but they don’t know your secrets,” Jonathan reminded.
“Well I’ve been thinking about that dad, and I think I’m going to tell Chloe,” Clark announced.
“It’s a very important decision Clark, you can’t just on a whim decide to tell someone about you, the real you,” Jonathan said.
“I know dad, I know,” Clark said standing up.
“I’ll do this for you dad, but if things don’t change on this trip then I’m done,” Clark told his father as he turned to walk away stopping for a moment to add, “I’m going to go see mom first.”
“Tell her… I love her, and I’ll see her in my dreams,” Jonathan said tearing up.
Clark didn’t look at his dad, but he nodded acknowledging his request before speeding of to Smallville.
Back at the house the boys were packing for what they referred to as “Mission Impossible.”
“Do they have a shower where we are going? I’m not showering in a river or any damn lakes,” John informed as he stuffed his pillow into his duffle bag.
“I don’t think so,” Jesse replied, “they want us to go somewhere where we don’t have to worry about someone seeing Clark do something.”
“So because he’s E.T. we can’t shower like normal people?” John said trying to force the zipper on his duffle bag closed.
“John, a shower is the last thing we need to worry about,” Luke* piped in.
“You mean keeping Clark from frying Bo*?” John asked, then adding, “Or Bo* from stuffing those green rocks up his…”
“John,” Luke Sr.’s voice suddenly rang throughout the room.
“Dad,” John said quickly turning almost falling over his duffle bag that he had placed on the floor.
“You don’t need to add to the situation with remarks like that,” he reminded him, all of them.
“Why do you want us to go? Wouldn’t it be better if they went alone?” Jesse asked.
“We can’t trust them to go alone. When you get there set up camp some good yards away. Not close enough to interfere, but close enough in case you need to get there in a hurry.” Luke told the boys.
“What do we do if things get out of control?” Luke* asked his dad.
“They won’t,” Clark informed walking into the room.
“Clark,” Jesse said, “your dad said you went to see your mom?”
“Yeah, I’m ready to go now,” Clark said.
“Where’s Bo*?” Luke* said asking about his hot tempered cousin.
“Doing what Clark did,” the elder Luke informed his son.
After Bo* had stormed off he came back 30min later with a proposition. If he did in fact go along with this suicide mission as he put it, no matter what the results the General would be his. Luke knowing the car would end up being Bo’s* someday anyways being as Luke* wasn’t so attached to the General agreed that he would in fact sign over the General to him title and all.
“We’re set to go as soon as he gets back,” Jesse said.
“I’ll run there,” Clark informed them.
“No you won’t,” Jonathan said stepping into his old room.
“Why not?” Clark asked.
“Because Bo* knows your different but not how different. Besides the point is that you all do this together, so you’ll go with them in John and Jesse’s car.” Jonathan informed.
“So if we drive off a cliff we all go down,” Bo* said stepping into the house overhearing just the end of the conversation coming from the room.
“Great, one for all and all for one,” John muttered.
“I'm driving,” Bo* muttered grabbing the keys off of the table.
“Why can’t we just go to Hazzard Swamp?” Jesse asked hauling his duffle bag.
“Because it’s too close to home and they want us to have a... I don’t know what the hell they want us to have but they want us far,” John told him.
“We want you to appreciate each other,” Jonathan said.
“We do,” John said motioning to Luke*, and Jesse, “they don’t,” he said motioning to Bo* and Clark.
“Get in the car or run after it,” Bo* barked walking outside with his bag.
“Clark,” Jonathan said before Clark walked out, “you know I'm doing this for you right?”
“I know dad, I know, don’t worry,” Clark said before turning and heading to the car.
Since Bo* was driving, Clark wanted to sit behind the passenger side to be as far away from him as possible. John sat behind Bo's* seat, and Jesse sat between Clark and John, while Luke sat in front on the passenger side.
“Everyone in?” Bo* asked.
“Yeah just about, I need to...” and with that Bo hit the gas and floored right off.
“GET MY FOOT IN AND CLOSE THE DOOR!” John yelled as he almost fell out of the car.
“Then don’t start off the answer to a question if you’re in yet with Yeah,” Bo* said slamming the breaks so John could get in properly and close the door.
“Did you see that?” Jonathan asked Luke as they watched from the door.
“Yeah,” Luke replied.
“Think they'll be ok?” Daisy asked, “I'm trying not to be, but I am worried.”
“We all are, but we got to trust they won’t kill each other,” Enos chimed in.
