Meanwhile back in Hazzard…
“Bo,” Luke said walking out of the house onto the porch.
Jonathan without turning to look at him sighed, “you know Luke, I feel sort of strange being back here.”
“I reckon you might,” Luke said walking up next to him, both of them just starring over the farm.
“I missed it,” Jonathan announced, “I missed being here, with you, Daisy, Uncle Jesse…” Jonathan then became quiet.
“He was never mad at you, he knew how your ma was,” Luke assured him.
“I owed him more then what I ever gave him,” Jonathan looked at Luke.
“You gave him plenty cousin, you helped around the farm, you cared about us all, you gave us all plenty,” Luke responded.
“I wish I could have seen him once more,” Jonathan said.
“I know cousin, I know,” Luke said placing his hand on Jonathan’s shoulder. After a long pause Luke asked what everyone must have been thinking, “how do you think the boys are doing?”
“I don’t know, but I sure wish I had Clark’s speed to go find out,” Jonathan responded.
“Do you think it was wise doing what we did?” Luke asked as he walked off the porch onto the front yard, Jonathan following.
“Sending a group of boys, one of which that has super powers that don’t necessarily like one another off to the middle of nowhere,” Jonathan said, “sure.”
“Yeah Bo that made me feel secure,” Luke said sarcastically.
“So what are we doing today?” Jonathan asked.
“Nothing,” Luke answered.
“What do you mean nothing?” Jonathan said pausing in his steps.
“I figure we would go out around town, so you can see some old friends. Let them know Bo Duke is back in town,” Luke said smiling at Jonathan.
“I don’t know Luke…” Jonathan said his words trailing off.
“Come on Bo, you need to do something, you need to know its ok to have fun again. You need to laugh and smile without guilt,” Luke pleaded.
“It’s just… I’ll give it a try cousin, that’s the best I can do right now,” Jonathan wasn’t really in the mood to go see old friends, or to see people he once knew and laugh with them like he hadn’t lost his other half recently. He knew Luke was worried about him and he didn’t want to put more of a strain on him with the boys away. Everyone was thinking about the boys, everyone was stressed over the fact they sent them off to work things out.
