Chapter 1 - Are you there?Clark was sitting at his computer in his room. Finally managed to get DSL in his area, which was hard, being as they lived out on a farm. With some help from Lex, and getting his dad to agree to let Lex help him out, he got it finally. It had been about a week after everyone left back to Hazzard that lived in Hazzard that he was online doing some research for a paper, when he got a instant message.
Law_dog4 – R U there?
Kal – Who’s this?
Law_dog4 – Is this you Clark?
Kal – Who is this?
Law_dog4 – Jesse…
Kal – How did u get my sn?
Law_dog4 – Hacked into ur school’s student directory. U have it listed… what’s Kal mean?
Kal – Nothing, just something I came up with
Law_dog4 – How’s ur dad?
Kal – Not great, how’s ur dad? He still freaked out?
Law_dog4 – Can u blame him?
Kal – No, but he shouldn’t take it out on my dad… are u freaked out?
Law_dog4 – I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t.
Kal – No 1 else knows right?

*Oh shit* Jesse thought… as he was typing he didn’t notice Bo had messaged him, and the message popped up and he was typing into the wrong window.
Law_dog1 – Not telling anyone what?
Law_dog4 – Nothing, typed in the wrong window… what do u want?
Law_dog1 – I wanted 2 know if u were coming over 2day, John’s coming, we’re going 2 go for a ride.
Law_dog4 – No. I got some stuff 2 do.

Law_dog1 – You aint got nothing 2 do, get 2 it, tell me what it is ur holding back.

Kal – Ok.
Law_dog4 – And don’t worry, no1 else knows.

“What does he want?” Clark asked himself out loud as he logged off as well. He got his books and put them in his desk drawer. He was going outside to see how his dad was. He’d been taking it hard. He didn’t laugh anymore, he didn’t talk much, when Clark tried to talk to him he would fake a smile, and then go back to what he was doing. He just got up, and went to work, then went back to sleep, and then started the day all over again in the morning. Both Clark and Martha were worried about him. But they didn’t know what to do.
