Eclipse Sneak Peak
February 7th, 2010 by Jess received No Comments »Well I found this video on youtube with a post date of end of Dec, but I had not see it before. Can’t wait for this movie. I just finished reading Twilight, gonna start New Moon next, then once I see Eclipse I’ll read if afterwards. IMO though, the wig Kristen is wearing for Eclipse, I don’t like it, you think they could have gotten a better looking one with all the money the franchise is making. Its not as bad as Taylor’s but still distracting.

January 21st, 2010 by Jess received No Comments »Well its been a few days since I migrated to wordpress and everyday I find another feature, another skin, plugin, etc that makes me like wordpress even more. HOWEVER there was one issue I was having, sometimes depending on the skin I was using, the alignment feature would not work correctly when inserting images. I finally searched google and found out why. In order for the alignment feature in the Media manager (the thing that opens when you click to add a image or video or whatever) you must have this code inserted into your stylesheet:

display: block;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}
img.alignright {
padding: 4px;
margin: 0 0 2px 7px;
display: inline;
}
img.alignleft {
padding: 4px;
margin: 0 7px 2px 0;
display: inline;
}

}
So if this is an issue your having, try and add that into your stylesheet. So thanks to Daniel Scocco and his post located >here< this issue has been resolved on a few themes I had tried.
School starts again…
January 18th, 2010 by Jess received No Comments »God how many times have I said school is starting again…. *sigh*, I think I’ll be in school forever, or worse, I wont be in school forever but I won’t end up with a job either OMG. *STRESS* Anyways, this semester I got Commercial Photography 2 (had to wait a year for this class), Ceramics II (I was a bit harder than I thought but I did not accomplish enough to my satisfaction to not take II), Intermediate Photoshop (god I wish this was online *sigh*), and ENG102 online (ironic that I wish this one was at a time when I could take it IN a class… only worried about this one). ENG102 is themed course on get this, Film!! YAY!! One of my favorite things of course, BUT I’m still worried about this being online. I’m also worried about the teacher, I signed up for this very class a few semesters ago but dropped it the 2nd week as I was too worried about taking this online, so now I am worried that he will remember I dropped it the first time…. Ugh.
So not only does classes start again tomorrow (@ PC) but I go back to work too, the start of the semester really sucks at work… oh well). I will have Ceramics II tomorrow and I already know what I will be making, which is a charger base for my MyTouch 3G White/Black (white phone but with a black back). I made one last semester but just playing really, this time I will make room so that not only will it be a stand, but a charging base we well. I’m gonna leave room under it for the cord to fit and so that it will still stand solid wherever I place it. Last semester when we had our first day of Ceramics 1 (we as is my sister Honda which you can go to her blog by clicking her name, its new right now so she don’t have anything yet I think, and a friend / co-worker from class, Theresa) it was real slow, he gave us a intro to the room, the tools, etc. but this time since we already know, I’m sure we can just start to build (its a dual class with Ceramics I and II students) while he gives the Ceramics I students the intro and stuff. Well we shall see what happens tomorrow….

Had some issues a long the way which I’ll post about later in case others may have this issue, especially if your hosted on Hostgator. I really like this theme, I’m liking how easy it is to install here, you don’t even need to be on your computer with FTP, and plugins are easy to install as well. Great. This theme is called New York, which one day I hope to go there.
Anyways, I’ve edited my catagories as they sort of transfered wrong in the conversion from nucleus to wordpress, but all that is fixed now. Now I’m gonna see if I can post from my phone now….
Human Rights March

So I went to my first Human Rights March today, it was about a 3 mile walk from 35th ave and Roosevelt @ Falcon Park, to Tent City to protest Arpaio’s racist profiling. I went with a few people and let me tell you, 3 miles ain’t a lot… but we had to walk back too. Would have been ok but the clouds decided to go away and the sun came out and I was wearing a black shirt.
Supposedly there were about 4 idiots who caused issues but I saw nothing but a peaceful march.
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

I finally saw Heath’s last film this past weekend and I must say I could not stop thinking about the fact that this actor, this guy on the screen in front of me who was so talented was no longer here. I also noticed sadly that in this film he just seems “off.” I mean in every film he did there was that spark, that light that was Heath, but in this one that was not there. Maybe its because he’s dead and I know this, but he just did not seem like the Heath Ledger I’d seen so many times on screen.
Now the film was a great concept and had some very nice imagery once inside “The Imaginarium.” I wanted this film to be great, so that people could remember his last film as great, and although it was a good film, it was not his best, however that was no fault of his because he brought Tony alive in this movie. The plot was “eh” and some of the actors I would have changed because they just did not seem to go with the movie.
An actor that fit well where they placed him was Johnny Depp. He was great in the role they put him in, the part he had to fill in. Now you may wonder how will this film work if they switch “Tony” around, well the only time aside from about 5 seconds in which they had to use Johnny Depp because Heath had passed already, was when they were on the “inside.” Once inside the imaginarium a person can change, and that was the brilliant part in which they were able to finish this movie, HOWEVER I wonder if they added this after or if it was initially meant that way because of the opening scene with the drunk guy. Go see it and you’ll know what I mean.

Site Change
January 15th, 2010 by Jess received No Comments »Well I was messing around ALL DAY trying to get my Nucleus blog converted to Wordpress. The things I had to do to just get this blog switched man… I have a few blogs, this one, some story related ones, a news related one all together using Nucleus CMS, each blog is its own blog but all controlled through Nucleus. I wanted to import ALL of them to WordpressMU which does the same thing HOWEVER I could not import the seperate blogs INTO seperate blogs, it would toss them all into the primary blog, so for now just my main blog this one will be wordpress. If anyone can help me out with that problem let me know, I’d appreciate it.
Anyways I am not too sure about Wordpress but I’m starting to really like it and I needed a change from Nucleus. I went from HTML to MT to Nucleus to now Wordpress. I’ve managed to keep posts from 2003 I think to the present time, but all the stuff before that was lost in the move from HTML to MT I believe.
Well now that I have wordpress I should be able to blog more often thanks to my MyTouch 3G phone and the WP app that it has. I still need to add pages, links, and fix the banner but so far its going good.
