I haven’t blogged in a while but gonna try and change that up again. My pc has been acting up, video lagging etc. Took the heat-sink fan out and replaced the heat-sink compound and so far so good (knock on wood), so I am hoping it stays that way. I used some radio shack brand thermal compound to replace the heat-sink compound it had. My GPU is at around 67 degrees celcius and although I think thats too high, its like 154 degrees farenheight, it seems to be a ok temp from what I’ve read around online. I have an integrated Nvidia 9100 so it’s not a good card for gaming etc but I’ve never been too much of a pc gamer except for maybe Sims now and then. I had no issues when it was on Vista, I’m running Windows 7 XP now and it was good for maybe 2 months after installing Windows 7 (clean install) before the video lagging started to happen. I am thinking of maybe getting some Arctic Silver thermal compound that has pure silver in it, but I’m a bit wary as it could harm the cpu. I got some more posts to do later but tis it for now.
